"Giorgi and Gela Romelashvilis are true heroes for every Georgian and we all share the pride of their children in the heroic deeds of their fathers" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia in Gori while visiting the household of servicemen fallen in the Russian-Georgian war in 2008.

Head of the Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to Muraz Romelasvili, father of the fallen soldiers for raising the true heroes and noted that their sacrifice is exemplary to all.

"Dignified parents raise dignified children and citizens. You are a hero for raising heroes. Lives of Giorgi and Gela were sacrificed for the homeland and their children should live with great pride in a dignified country. This is our assumed responsibility" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Muraz Romelashvili thanked the Head of the Government of Georgia for his compassion and expressed hopes that blood shed by his children will not be lost in vain and that Georgia will by all means get united.

"This is exactly what makes us motivated. I am confident that future generation will live in a unified and decent Georgia. We truly demand what belongs to us by objective judgement. I am convinced that history will find the right place to everything in a fair manner. Our multi-ethnic nation has historically been through many ordeals, but we survived. The main thing is to make the future generations believe that blood shed by heroes was not in vain. For me it is key to ignite this spirit in the nation. Only this attitude will lead to success. Our youth should be raised on the real life examples of Giorgi and Gela. It is very important that generation of parents convey the core values of Georgian conscious and traditions to their children" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Head of the Government of Georgia visited the Romelashvili household together with Levan Izoria, Minister of Defense of Georgia; Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and Sozar Subari, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Regional Development.

Lieutenant Giorgi Romelashvili and Corporal Gela Romelashvili, who served at Gori Armored Tank Battalion, have been awarded a post-mortem Order of First Class named after King Vakhtang Gorgasali.
