Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met with H.E. Dessislava Ivanova-Kozleva. Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia today.

Head of the Government of Georgia thanked the diplomat for support provided towards the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, along with the assistance demonstrated in the process of integration with the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO).

Parties reviewed the diplomatic relations between Georgia and Bulgaria in the past 25 years and long standing cooperation in the culture and education sectors. Prime Minister of Georgia noted that economic relations between the two countries have a greater potential of development. Parties discussed the prospects of direct flights between Georgia and Bulgaria within this context.

Focus was made on the prospects of intensified interaction and exchange programs in the education sector.

Head of the Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Bulgaria for the development of public institutions in Georgia and support provided in the sector of agriculture.
