"My first official visit to Brussels in the capacity of the Prime Minister is by no means a coincidence. It is yet another confirmation that European and Euro-Atlantic integration is our absolute priority" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia about his visit to Brussels held in the period of July 18-20, 2018 thereby noting that it was a key-note and successful trip.

Head of the Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to all the friends in Brussels for the principal support gained by the country once again.

"Society had an opportunity to hear very vital and key messages at the meeting with Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO), which we received in Brussels. At the same time, meeting with Donald Tusk, President of the European Council and Commissioners was very productive. We once again heard a reinforcement that Georgia is the most successful country on the background of challenges that are faced in the region. At the same time, we are successfully implementing all the commitments assumed under the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) by implementing the required adjustments to the legal framework of the country. Nevertheless, we plan to reduce the timeframe of these efforts and accomplish the commitments assumed under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) concluded with the European Union (EU) well before the due date. We also spoke about the significance of the newly established high level format with our European partners. You may well be aware that we plan to hold the first meeting in November within this format, which is aimed at the specific results and will facilitate the accelerated sectoral integration with EU" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
