"I believe that Bidzina Ivanishvili focused on very appropriate aspects on challenges that are nowadays faced in the economy of the country, along with the truly considerable progress achieved under the governance of the Georgian Dream" noted Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia, when commenting on the television interview made by the Chairman of the ruling party today.

As stated by the Head of the Government of Georgia, excessive indebtedness remains a pressing issue in the country.

"You may well be aware that we are intensively working towards this end and first steps have already been made. Nevertheless, it is far from being sufficient and new initiatives will be offered to the society in the nearest future to significantly mitigate the acute nature of this systemic risk within the economy of the country. Also, we started to make significant steps forward together with the National Bank of Georgia to introduce responsible lending and fair rules of game within the system of financial intermediation. It will enable us to prevent past occurrences from happening in future" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to him, Bidzina Ivanishvili's interview might have been quite critical towards the performance of the Government, however vain and hopeless opposition continues to attack him personally.

"Overall, such attacks and humiliations are a distinctive signature of the unconstructive opposition. We could not hear substantial arguments on vital issues raised by the Party Chairman in his public appearance. Hence, one of the goals of our opposition is to personally discredit him in the eyes of the society, which will be a very fruitless attempt by all means. We are working on very important reforms. Program submitted to the Parliament is vividly momentous and applies to literally all the sectors of the economy. Therefore, we stand ready to listen to arguments, including the criticism, towards the reform agenda we are implementing, however they fail to voice it" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
