Today Georgian Prime Minister held meeting with Prime Minister Gaston Alfonso Browne of Antigua and Barbuda, who is visiting Georgia for the first time as part of the OGP's Global Summit.

The sides discussed urgent issues pertaining to the ongoing and future relations agenda betweeen the two countries, and paid special attention to cooperation in bilateral and multiple formats. The meeting pointed out the importance of the mutual support and coordinated work between the two countries on priority issues for both countries under different international organizations.

It was pointed out that thet people-to-people contacts must grew further in the future, especially among youth. The discussion also involved programs promoting students.

During the meeting, the discussion involved the empowerment of economic ties, not only between Georgia and of Antigua and Barbuda, but also the entire Caribbean Region. It was pointed out that Georgia is an exemplary country in the region in terms of role-model reforms.

The Heads of Governments also spoke about prospects of sharing success stories, including in the banking and financial sectors, also digital technology, public services, and innovation.

The discussion also involved Georgia's occupied territories, and Gaston Alfonso Barun emphasized that Antigua and Barbuda support
s Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within its recognized borders. 


The parties are ready to promote the further deepening of the relations between the two countries.
The meeting at the Administration of the Government was attended by Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani.
