June 27, 2014 marks a historic date for our nation who advanced to a new qualitative level the process of Georgia's political association and economic integration with the EU, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.

According to the Prime Minister, four years into the signing of the EU Association Agreement, including DCFTA, Georgia has achieved numerous tangible results and significant success.

"Especially significant is visa-free travel to the Schengen Area, a considerable benefit for all our citizens. Despite the progress in Georgia-EU relations, even closer integration of Georgia into the EU than stipulated under the Association Agreement is important, and this very goal is served by the development of the EU Integration Roadmap for Georgia, with its implementation to endow even greater dynamics to Georgia-EU relations. In addition, we are launching a brand new format to promote Georgia's EU integration. This highest-level format will facilitate meetings led by the Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of the European Commission," Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.
