"Reorganization in line with legally prescribed procedures is underway in the Administration of the Government, involving the reorganization, merger or separation, of the Administration's structural units," Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia Shalva Tadumadze commented today on this issue.
According to him, functional analysis is underway in relation to the current structural units in order further to enhance their effectiveness. Relevant decisions will be made within a month in line with rules defined in legislation.
In reply to reporters' question about a possible optimization of the staff as a result of the reorganization, Shalva Tadumadze replied that any decision may be made to enhance the effectiveness and quality of the Administration's functions.
As for the budget, according to the Head of the Administration of the Government, reorganization involves the budget resources allocated to the Administration of the Government for 2018.
"As a result of the recent Cabinet reshuffle, several senior officers were transferred to different ministries, which caused the reorganization. The new structure of the Administration of the Government of Georgia will be announced within a month, so you will know which departments merged and which were divided," Shalva Tadumadze stated.
Under the reorganization effort, a competition has been announced for openings at the Administration of the Government.
