Prime Minister of Georgia Meets Ambassadors to UN Print Version

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with the Heads of Missions of different countries accredited with the United Nations.
The Head of Government introduced the Permanent Representatives of different countries in the UN to the four-point reform agenda, the country's economic opportunities and tourism potential. The Ambassadors to the UN commended the reforms implemented in the country, and emphasized Georgia's progress toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The conversation involved the development of bilateral relations with individual UN member states, and emphasis was placed on Georgia's engagement in different international and regional organizations throughout the world.
The Prime Minister provided the Ambassadors to the UN with information on the ongoing developments in Georgia's occupied territories and the humanitarian, human rights, and security situation therein.
During the meeting, Georgia's unwavering commitment to peaceful conflict resolution was pointed out, and the role of the Geneva International Talks in this process was singled out.
The Ambassadors to the UN reaffirmed staunch support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The meeting at the Administration of the Government of Georgia was attended by First Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani and Georgia's Permanent Representative to the UN Kakha Imnadze.
