In 2021, Georgia will host the Forum of Cultural Routes of Europe. This decision was made a few days ago, during the meeting of the Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes (EPA) in Luxemburg.
As Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated during today's Government meeting, the forum will be attended by 300 guests from 32 countries.
According to the Head of Government, this forum will be very important for promoting our country in general, for introducing its heritage, and for deepening cultural cooperation with the forum's participant states.
"In addition, it is very important that the EPA Bureau plans to develop a new initiative called Cultural Route Maps by Country. In 2018, Georgia will be one of the first countries where cultural routes will be studied and relevant maps will be developed. This will mark Georgia's genuine cultural integration into the European family, as Georgia's monuments of cultural heritage will be featured on Europe's cultural map. We are taking very important steps, and I am sure that Europe unequivocally recognizes that Georgia, with its culture, is a genuine part of Europe," Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.
