Improving gender equality legislation, and enhancing women's labor rights, is one of the obligations assumed by us under the EU Association Agreement.
The initiative seeking to include mandatory gender quotas in the Election Code, which is currently being considered in Parliament, will serve as an important mechanism for women's enhanced engagement.
I would like to reiterate that I welcome every step taken toward increasing women's participation in representative bodies, because I believe that it will significantly improve political processes and the level of democracy in our country.
