The Ministry of Defense introduced new concept for reserve system. It is clear that acting reserve and mobilization system is in need of serious transformation and improvement. Recent history clearly shows this. You know well that strong reserve system is very important for our country.
The already developed new concept envisions involvement of Georgia's citizens in total state defense system and the optimal use of mobilization resources. It is noteworthy, that together with the mobilization reserve, the new concept envisages three different types of reserve, such as voluntary, contract-based and paid reserve. This system will enable Georgian citizens to find their place in the system, while continuing their civil activities, which is very important.
I want to thank the Ministry of Defense and personally the Minister, Levan Izoria, for the work done. I am sure that discussions at the Parliament, which start today, will be very fruitful. I am also sure, that experts from relevant fields will participate in these discussions together with the Parliament and as a result we will create a balanced and precise system corresponding to the country's needs.
