The status of veterans inspires particular respect and their efforts enable us to live in a peaceful country and build the better future for our children peacefully, - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated in his speech at the opening ceremony of the new State Office of Veterans Affairs.

The head of the Government once again thanked the veterans, whose path inspires pride to all and congratulated them on relocating to a new, beautiful building.

"I am convinced that many good ideas will be launched in this building. Taking care of veterans and people with status equal to theirs is an important priority for the state. We have to recognize that we cannot compensate them enough for their sacrifices and the state will spare no effort to reinforce the care in that area. I am aware of the fact that new legislative amendments package is being developed to enable us to pay more attention to people, who have put their lives at stake for peaceful and bright future of our country. I would like to take this opportunity and thank veterans that are here once again; the same goes for those, who are not here and naturally, I would like to wish them long life and good health. I would like them to be engaged in the process of building of our state and the government will spare no effort to achieve this goal. I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and wish you longevity, health and a great amount of joy for your families in 2018 and forever," - the Prime Minister addressed the veterans.

Photo exhibition dedicated to the memory of soldiers fallen for the territorial integrity of Georgia was also held at the new State Office of Veterans Affairs. The Prime Minister visited the exhibition alongside with Head of the Office Vladimer Imnadze and Minister of Defence Levan Izoria.
