Today, Georgian Prime Minister held a meeting with Chairman of the Parliament of Montenegro Ivan Brajović.

The discussion involved Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, progress on this path, and the country's implemented and ongoing reforms. Special emphasis was placed on sharing Montenegro's experience on the path to EU and NATO integration.

The Prime Minister thanked Chairman of Montenegro's Parliament Ivan Brajović for participating in the EU and Partners-Embracing Diversity for Stronger Unity, an international parliamentary conference in Tbilisi.

"Mister Chairman of the Parliament, I am very pleased to host you in Tbilisi. I would like to thank you for attending a very important event for our Parliament. First of all, I would like to thank you very much for consistent support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. We appreciate this very much. I would also like to thank you for supporting Georgia's position in different international fora, including UN platform, where we annually put our IDP resolution, so we appreciate your position very much. Most importantly, we would like to congratulate you on successfully joining NATO. This is a path Georgia has chosen, and it is a great driving motivation for us to follow this path consistently," the Prime Minister of Georgia said.

The Chairman of the Parliament of Montenegro reaffirmed support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and the country's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

"Mister Prime Minister, I would like to thank you on behalf of my delegation and my own behalf, and I have to tell you that here we had extraordinary hospitality, and every minute we spent here we felt fantastic. Sincerity and friendship is not something that someone can fake, and everywhere here we feel that there is true friendship between our two states. I thank you for your congratulations on our membership in NATO. Once again, I assure you that Montenegro will always support your territorial integrity. We will always be there to help you in that regard. I am truly pleased that you have chosen the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration," Ivan Brajović stated.

The parties also discussed prospects of stepping up bilateral relations and making use of the cooperation potential found in a number of areas.
