Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili hosted his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova for his participation in Tbilisi Silk Road Forum and discussed the bilateral cooperation between the countries.

"Dear friend, Mr. Prime Minister, I would like to welcome you on your first official visit to Georgia. We are honored to be hosting you at the Silk Road "One Belt-One Road" Forum and within the frames of your official visit. I would like to thank you for the visit and tell you that we view Moldova as our important strategic ally, we share common foreign and political aspirations, we enjoy important formats of cooperation; I would like to thank you for cooperation within the frames of international formats and unwavering support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. On our part, I would like to clearly express support for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Moldova as well as for your foreign and political aspirations. I would like to greet you once again, welcome,"- the Prime Minister of Georgia addressed his Moldovan counterpart.
The Prime Minister of Moldova thanked the head of the Government of Georgia for hosting him.
"I would like to note that Georgia and Moldova have established lasting relations. Alongside with friendly interactions, we also share common interests in terms of the EU integration and unfortunately, we also have conflicts in common that are very painful to us. Hence, sharing of an experience is important to achieve success in this regard," - Pavel Filip noted.
