Today Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The Prime Minister thanked Brazil's Foreign Minister for visiting Georgia and expressed hope in the development of cooperation between the two countries.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to economic relations. As it was pointed out, Brazil is Georgia's largest partner in Latin America, and the Georgia-Brazil Business Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Tbilisi in spring 2018, will contribute to furthering the trade and economic relations.

The parties commended the tourism cooperation agreement between the two countries, which was signed today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Prime Minister informed the Foreign Minister of Brazil about the latest trends in Georgia's economy, the country's reforms, also the FTAs Georgia enjoys with the countries in the region, the EU, and China. The Head of Government also emphasized Georgia's role in the Silk Road. The Brazilian side took interest in sharing Georgia's experience of successful reforming.

The conversation also involved cooperation within different international organizations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil confirmed firm support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, for which the Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude.
