Land Use and Development Regulation Plan to be drafted for Telavi Print Version

2017-07-06

The Government will develop a regulation plan for land use and development in the city of Telavi. As Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at today's Government meeting, spatial planning has launched in numerous cities and important settlements under the spatial development component of the Government's four-point reform plan.

"Importantly, development activities increase along with growing numbers of tourists. As you know, Telavi is an important center of cultural heritage and tourist destination. We want to develop a professionally executed project for spatial planning as soon as possible to prevent chaotic development. This way, we will preserve this cultural heritage, on one hand, and set in place a prudent development direction to be protected in the future. This is why this project is of utmost importance," Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
