We express readiness to further continue dialogue to adopt a constitution that will truly be in line with the will of the majority of the population of our country, - Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated during today's Government meeting.

The head of the Government commented on his phone conversation with President of Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio regarding the process of amending the Constitution. According to the Prime Minister, Gianni Buquicchio expressed his satisfaction with the readiness of the Government of Georgia to continue the dialogue.

"As you know, the process was characterized by high level of engagement; unlike the previous wave of adopting the Constitutional amendments, important public discussions with the participation of all stakeholders took place. We express readiness to continue further the dialogue and adopt a Constitution that will be truly based on the will of the majority of the population. This is what matters the most. We can discuss the readiness of various actors of political spectrum to achieve a consensus. On our part, we have taken major steps that I will not elaborate upon. We are ready to find other measures that will enable us to reach an additional agreement," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted.
