Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Minister of Defense of Ukraine General of the Army Poltorak Stepan.

Conversation touched upon the positive dynamics in developing intensive partnership across wide range of issues between Ukraine and Georgia.

Minister of Defense of Ukraine welcomed the reforms that were recently implemented in Georgia. The sides also discussed perspectives of deepening cooperation in the defense area.

Regional developments were also discussed during the meeting. The sides reasserted their mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the respective countries within the internationally recognized borders.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Georgia, H.E. Ihor Dolhov, as well as Minister of Defense of Georgia Levan Izoria, first Deputy Minister Lela Chikovani and Foreign Policy Adviser to the Prime Minister of Georgia Tedo Japaridze also attended the meeting held at the Administration of Government of Georgia.
