Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting today with representatives of Chinese business companies. The parties discussed Georgia's investment potential and prospects of cooperation.

As it was pointed out during the meeting, China is one of Georgia's most valuable economic partners and largest investor that enjoys a free trade agreement with Georgia. The parties hope that the free trade between Georgia and China will further cement their close cooperation.

"A couple of weeks ago, we signed the Free Trade Agreement with China, an important step forward in our bilateral relations. Georgia now has the most liberal bilateral relations with China in our region. I want you to know that Georgia is open for Chinese investments," the Prime Minister stated during the meeting.

The conversation also involved Georgia's business environment, and special emphasis was placed on the growing interest of Chinese companies in Georgia.

The meeting at the Administration of the Government was attended by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia and Deputy CEO of the Partnership Fund Natia Turnava.
