Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has arrived in Batumi. To gain firsthand knowledge on the ground, the Head of Government visited the Interior Ministry detachments in charge of ensuring order in Batumi's streets last night.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked the law enforcements for establishing order and averting further escalation. The Prime Minister reiterated that the state will be severe with those who have defied the law and the state institutions.

"I thank you for your heroism and patience. Law enforcement officers use as much force as necessary to maintain stability and protect the rights of our citizens. I want you to know that I am standing by all of you. I want you to know it and to be proud because last night we walked a tightrope, but now we can say proudly that we have used just enough force to maintain stability in the country. I want to thank all of you for patience and heroism and wish you success. I also wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the Prime Minister told the officers.

The Prime Minister, in his visit to Adjara, is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Kakha Kaladze, Interior Minister Giorgi Mghebrishvili, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Zurab Alavidze, and parliamentary majority leader Archil Talakvadze.
