2017-03-01

Today EU's door opened for Georgian citizens, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili commented on the newly signed regulation on visa waiver for Georgia's citizens.

The Prime Minister congratulated every citizen of Georgia on this vitally important decision, pointing out that it is, ultimately, a demonstration of EU political support for Georgia.

"It is not about initial steps toward European integration anymore. It is about a giant leap on the path to EU integration. I would like to thank our friends in European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, my colleagues, and, first and foremost, our citizens for their immense support for our reforms. This day celebrates the European Union's great trust in Georgia and our Government. It is something to be cherished. We must continue our far-reaching reforms. Georgia must become a full member of the European family. Georgia must continue its consistent progress toward the EU, and we will surely succeed in unity with the Georgian people," the Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized.
