Georgian Prime Minister’s Meeting with Turkish Counterpart Print Version

Georgia is Turkey's most important neighbor and strategic partner, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yıldırım stated at today's meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

The main topics of this meeting, held during the 53rd Munich Security Conference, covered Georgia-Turkey bilateral cooperation with its exceptionally positive dynamics.

The Prime Ministers spoke of the need further to intensify the bilateral economic ties between the two countries and confirmed their commitment to deeper cooperation on important international projects, including the successful implementation of the Southern Corridor.

During the meeting with his Georgian colleague, the Prime Minister of Turkey reaffirmed support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Binali Yıldırım invited Giorgi Kvirikashvili to attend the summit of the heads of states celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Istanbul, which is scheduled for May 22.
