I would like to wish success to the Public Broadcaster. I hope that, in due course, we will have a modern and exciting pubic broadcaster with an important function to serve, the Prime Minister of Georgia stated before today's Government meeting.

In his comment on the processes in Public Broadcaster, Giorgi Kvirikashvili stressed that it serves the interests of both the public and authorities to have a successful modern public broadcaster.

"It is imperative for our society to know that the Government takes great interest in having an independent and interesting public broadcaster meeting the highest modern standards. We are paying tens of millions of GEL for this product, which cannot be accepted unless it is modern and compelling. We also want it to be a genuine medium expressing public interests, which is why we welcome the processes launched in Public Broadcaster. We welcome debates and maximal engagement, so that different approaches may compete. We hope that these processes prove civilized, and ultimately we will have a television station that every citizen, every taxpayer paying for it, deserves," the Prime Minister stated.
