Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Cabinet Session was held today at the Administration of the Government. The Government reviewed 27 issues placed on the agenda.
Pursuant to the Government's decision, the Government will transfer ownership of houses to 177 more IDP families free of change. The IDPs will obtain houses in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Mtskheta, Batumi, Poti, Zugdidi, Zestafoni, Khoni and Khashuri.
The Government also adopted draft Ordinance on state procurement via simplified acquisition by LEPL Georgia's innovation and technology Agency, according to which infrastructure supporting innovation will be created in Zugdidi. Project will assist involvement of population in state programs, foster manufacturing of Georgian products and stimulate innovations region wide. Zugdidi Techno Park will be in line with international standards. This infrastructure will give local population an access to various types of equipment, working areas, training and conference rooms. They will be able to implement business ideas - starting from scratch to manufacturing the final product. Zugdidi Techno Park will foster regional development and economic progress.
The Government also adopted Ordinance on "State Acquisition via Simplified E-Tender by Chokhatauri Municipality" that aims at restoration of territory adjacent to central water supply and intake wales as well as Chokhatauri-Bukistsikhe highway damaged as a result of flood of July 9, 2016 in Chokhatauri.
The Government introduced an amendment to the N 471 Resolution on Approving the Instruction on Issuance of Permits to Custom Warehouses and Duty Free Centers of September 14, 2015, according to which processing (opening and reloading) and inspection of containers loaded with cars that have entered customs territory of Georgia via Poti Port will become possible at the warehouse located on the territory of Poti municipality that fully meets criteria established by the Governmental Resolution.
Government of Georgia adopted an amendment to the Resolution on "Approval the Size and Amount of Funding Allocated to Persons Enrolled in the Teachers' Preparation Educational Program". The draft amendment envisages that persons with Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent degree who have obtained relevant academic degree in line with National Educational Plan, are obliged to pass Accredited Program of Preparation of Teachers at one of the higher educational institutions. Prerequisite for enrollment on this program is passing the subject-based examination as well as an exam held by the higher educational institution.
