Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Cabinet Session was held today at the Administration of the Government. The Government reviewed 26 issues placed on the agenda.

Government of Georgia has adopted the draft resolutions related to the Law on Registration of the Land. The Law simplifying land registration and making it maximally available to the citizens will enter into force on August 1. The amendments aim at eradication of the obstacles faced by the land owners while registering their property. In line with the provisions of the new Law, the registration procedure will be simplified; barriers faced by the land owner will be removed; registration procedures will be encouraged. New initiatives will serve the purpose of simplification of registration of real estate and protection of the interests of the owner.

Unified standard of surveying mapping will be elaborated. Since the inaccuracy in the drawings often lead to the refusal to register the land, professionals engaged in the project will be certified.
Within the frames of the State Program on Development of the Sports Infrastructure, construction of the sports facilities is launched in Tbilisi and regions. Overall cost of the project is 65 million USD. As a result of Canadian and Slovak investments, the construction will be finalized by June 2017. More than 1000 people will be employed in the construction process, relevant working places will be created after finalization of the sports facilities. The sports complexes will be constructed in Tbilisi and regions.

During the Cabinet Session the Minister of Healthcare presented the statistical data concerning implementation of Program on Hepatitis C. Pursuant to the information provided by David Sergeenko More than 14 000 people have engaged in the Program starting from last April, more than 5 000 individuals terminated their treatment and 92% of said beneficiaries were cured. Pursuant to David Sergeenko, this high percentage is an indicator of a great success.
