Under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Georgia the Cabinet session was conducted at Administration of the Government. 29 issues placed on the agenda were discussed.

The Government approved draft Ordinance on "Activities aimed at Gasification of the Georgian Population", pursuant to which more than 60 villages of 21 municipalities will be provided with natural gas. Namely, in municipalities of Zestafoni, Gurjaani, Zugdidi, Akhmeta, Kaspi, gardabani, Tskaltubo, Dusheti, Chartli administrative unit, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Chokhatauri, Tkibuli, Mtskheta, Baghdati, Lagodekhi, Kharagauli, Chkhorotskhu, Vani, Tetritskaro and Adigeni, more than 60 villages, including tsaishi, Duishi, Gelati, Motsameta, Omalo, Abastumani will be gasified. As a result, around 8000 households will be gasified and 20 million GEL have been allocated for this purpose to the Ministry of Energy from the state budget.

Within the frames of the state program "Produce in Georgia", Government also approved transfer of property to the 3 enterprises.

Namely, in the village Menji of Senaki municipality, nut processing enterprise will be created with the support of 200 000 GEL investment that is envisaged for this purpose. Annual minimal productivity of the enterprise will be 200 tons. In Ozurgeti municipality, tea processing plant with the minimum annual productivity of 20 tons will be created. In village Kumisi of Gardabani region, milk processing factory will be created with the support of 100 000 GEL investment.

The Cabinet also approved draft Ordinance on "Certain Activities aimed at Development of Bakhmaro Resort. Pursuant to the document, the Government launches large-scale project aimed at Bakhmaro resort development. As it was noted during the session, Bakhmaro is one of the distinctive resorts of Georgia and its development is among the top priorities of the Government. The resort has unique spa and ski capacities. Hence, Government will spare no efforts to make Bakhmaro as one of the most highly developed resorts of Georgia in the shortest time possible. Relevant infrastructure, the best roads, environmental protection shall be created to ensure that investors have the opportunity to invest and to create the best environment for the development of various tourism destinations.

Access to the resort area will be improved through amelioration of condition of roads; study will be conducted in a medical spa zone and the adjacent roads to define the landslide, avalanche and wind flow processes and their causes; water supply and sanitation infrastructure will be set up; of electricity and gas supply projects will be implemented in the resort area. Also, resort area development concept will be developed.

The government adopted draft amendments to the "Rule on Appointing and Issuance of Support for Recovery of Damages Inflicted to the Health of Employee during Performing Labor Duties", according to which, alongside with other categories of persons, individuals, who have been found to have professional illness pursuant to the court decision issued against Zhinvali Construction Unit, also become eligible to such support.

Commission authorized to review appropriateness of appointment of such support was also applied by other citizens, who were not able to obtain relevant court decision. However, they provided other documentation (Order of the head of the enterprise, record of the medical-social forensic report, which demonstrates causal relationship between the professional illness or incurred damage and the degree of loss of professional performability, accident Act, which indicates the guilt of the employer and other, etc).

To ensure a coherent approach towards the victims by the Zhinvali Construction Unit, the government prepared a draft resolution, according to which the above-mentioned persons will enjoy with the right to assistance as compensation for damage caused to their health while performing the employment duties.

The government also agreed to a draft resolution presented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, which envisages construction of a cultural and administrative center in the village Roshka. Commercial and consumer facilities, pharmacy, post office, library, etc. will be constructed at the center.
