Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met today with Biljana Milosevic (Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Georgia) and Lina Milner (Regional Coordinator for Missing Persons Issues at the International Committee of the Red Cross).

The parties discussed issues pertaining to cooperation and the ongoing projects of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Georgia. The importance of the ICRC's work in many directions in Georgia was emphasized. The discussion also involved the humanitarian situation in Georgia's occupied territories and the necessity of the active engagement in this context of international organizations, including ICRC.

The effectiveness of the bilateral Georgian-Abkhazian coordination mechanism under ICRC in terms of the search of missing persons was also emphasized.
The representatives of the Red Cross express readiness to encourage better humanitarian conditions in the occupied territories.

The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the Red Cross representatives for their work in Georgia.
The meeting, held at the Administration of the Government, was attended by Zurab Abashidze (Prime Minister's Special Representative for relations with Russia).
