2016-12-09

"It would be nice to establish a Shota Rustaveli Day, which would be celebrated annually as glory to poetry and humanism, as well as yet another opportunity to promote the arts and culture of Georgia" noted H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting today.
He requested the Ministers of Culture and Education to work on the initiative, who will be suggesting more details to the society by the next Executive Government Meeting.

According to the Head of the Government, a number of events have been held in commemoration of 850th Anniversary from the birth of Shota Rustaveli, though due to the lengthy pre-election campaign and actual elections, it was impossible to hold the event at the level, which would be adequate to the merits of the most celebrated and glorious arts figure of the nation.
"Establishment of Shota Rustaveli Day would also be very beneficial for the youth, it is needless to say that his phenomenon is immeasurable for Georgia and the entire mankind. I believe that it would be noble to formalize this anniversary" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
