Angela Merkel wished the Head of Georgian Government success in achieving his goals, emphasizing that Georgia could count on support from Germany.
"Dear Mr. Prime Minister, please accept my sincere congratulations on your reelection. Next year marks the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between our countries and the 200th anniversary of the settlement in Georgia of German immigrants from Swabia. Both anniversaries demonstrate the traditional close ties between Germany and Georgia. On its path of further strengthening democracy, rule of law, and market economy, Georgian can certainly count on support from Germany.
