QUOTE: “EVERY WORD IN MY ADDRESS WAS PRIMARILY RELATED TO ABKHAZIA AND SAMACHABLO” Print Version

2016-11-25

"I wish to state with full responsibility entrusted on me that every word uttered in my Address today was primarily related to Abkhazia, Tskhinvali Region - Samachablo" noted Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Acting Prime Minister of Georgia at his meeting with a Parliamentary Faction Patriots of Georgia.
As mentioned by Mr. Kvirikashvili, he has fully conceptualized the responsibility entrusted to him and Cabinet of Ministers while pursuing significant efforts towards this end.

"Today we have the only leverage, which we should exploit to the fullest extent and it is economic advancement and development. We should shape Georgia into an alluring country and warm up the relations. It may require amendments to the legislation and more human bondage and we should be prepared to do so. The only thing we will fail to do is a compromise on our territorial integrity and sovereignty. On all the rest we pledge to listen and we have a number of interesting proposals ourselves" stated the Acting Prime Minister and expressed readiness to discuss the details with Members of Parliament (MPs) in a different format, noting thereby that Government Team is working hard on the topic.

In the opinion of Mr. Kvirikashvili, Governing Team has a number of truly interesting initiatives to regain trust between Abkhaz and Georgian, Ossetian and Georgian ethnic groups and to make significant steps towards unification of the country, rather than mere reclaim of territories.
"It is our key goal. Our entire plan is targeted at this end. Every sentence I uttered meant Abkhazia and Samachablo and we will not endure the steps made by Russia towards the occupied territories. What I have in mind is the series of agreements concluded in the recent past. Irrespective of our diplomatic efforts and development of Economic Advancement Plans, we have no other leverages. We should never use military force and should not even think about it! We should be most peaceful and strive to regain trust. We should pursue our initiatives more bravely. I am not going to continue with the same routine practiced so far. This is my message today and I am voicing it out loud!" noted the Acting Prime Minister of Georgia.
