Investment in the volume of 30 MLN GEL and yet another enterprise under the Government Supported Program branded as Produce in Georgia has manifested itself in Askaneli Alliance LLC with its new business line to process the bentonite clay in Dvabzu village of Ozurgeti Municipality. Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Acting Prime Minister of Georgia officially commissioned the enterprise today.
Mr. Kvirikashvili visited the enterprise and was briefed on the production process. It is a "patriotic endeavor of national magnitude and significance" noted the Acting Prime Minister while commenting on the plant equipped with state-of-the-art machinery of German manufacturing and thanked the investor - Mr. Gocha Chkhaidze - for the initiative.
In the opinion of the Acting Prime Minister, such substantial enterprises serve as a catalyst for the entrepreneurial spirit within the region and the country at large.
"This is the most advanced enterprise, which is based on the most sophisticated German technology in terms of eco-friendly production. What makes me most happy is that a Georgian enterprise will have its branch in Germany for the first time ever in the history of our country and its output will find thousands of ultimate uses. It is very important that initially almost 130 households will have income as a result of the enterprise, while later about 300 jobs will be created in total. Produce in Georgia is an utterly successful program and this case is the best example of a very sound cooperation between the public and private sectors. It is particularly noteworthy that great sons and daughters of our country - successful individuals - return to their motherland after having plenty and great success overseas to get engaged in the advancement and prosperity of our country" added Mr. Kvirikashvili.
In the opinion of the Acting Prime Minister, irrespective of a much smaller investment commitment, investor's current exposure is 30 MLN GEL and the enterprise is expanding further. Mr. Kvirikashvili also spoke about the newly commissioned Art House, thereby stressing the great importance of a regained artistic life in the regions of the country.
"It is tremendously important that rural population enjoy the same quality of life as in urban areas. It is essential that children pursue their studies in music, rhetoric, arts and culture. It is essential that such venues exist in the regions, so that families originating from here spend summer vacations in houses of their grand-parents, as it used to be practiced in the past. Prime goal of our Government is to let our population regain warmth in their hearts, in their homeland... This is our mission, as people lost this feeling and crave it most of all... Reason of today's joy is a patriotic effort of national scale and magnitude. It is a huge step towards this end. When I see people, who know what they are doing, have jobs, earn for living, when I see children expecting their parents in the evening - and not with empty pockets - as it used to be the case some years ago, it fills my heart with joy. Thank you ever so much for this great happiness" told Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili to the founder of the enterprise.
Construction of the plant was launched in June 2016. Investors plan to increase their exposure to 100 MLN GEL and to double the number of jobs at the enterprise.
