H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia awarded a Special Deed to Mr. Liu Bo, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Georgia for his outstanding contribution to the economic relations between the two countries and development of the Georgian agriculture sector.
According to the Prime Minister, Government of Georgia pays particular importance to the development and advancement of economic relations with China and is thrilled that it is among the Top Five trade partner countries of Georgia. It is thereby one of the largest investors in the country.
It was mentioned during the meeting that successful cooperation of the two countries is inter alia evidenced by the fact that negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Chine and Georgia were concluded in a record short period of time.
Focus has been made on a considerable increase of Georgian wine to China. Importance of infrastructure projects and new Silk Road Project Initiative has been stressed also at the meeting.
Prime Minister of Georgia thanked and wished success to the Counsellor of the Embassy of People's Republic of China to Georgia, which has completed his mission in the country.
