H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia thanked H.E. Gela Dumbadze, State Minister for Diasporas for his distinguished performance and spoke about the anticipated structural adjustments prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
"Gela Dumbadze has implemented significant initiatives while serving his tenure as a Minister. They included the burials of our expatriates in our country for gratis, which was a great relief for representatives of our diaspora. Together with the Minister of Justice, he made a great contribution in the transfer of assets kept in Leuville by our diasporta to Georgia. It was indeed a milestone achievement in the recent history of our country. It also needs to be acknowledged that he held series of meetings with representatives of our diasporas in foreign countries. I was personally blessed to exchange emotions with representatives of our country living away. I need to say that Gela's role in this area has been immense" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
As mentioned by the Head of the Government, structural adjustments will be made, resulting the incorporation of the diaspora affairs within the Foreign Ministry of Georgia, while Gela Dumbadze will pursue his career in the diplomatic corps of the country. Prime Minister of Georgia believes that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia is the prime response to the real needs of the diasporas. He also explained that Government approach should become even more wide-scale within this scope, thus conditioning the anticipated structural adjustment.
"Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia genuinely has the relevant resources to be exploited for diasporas. We will extend operation towards this end, so that every expatriate becomes an integral part of our country. I wish Gela Dumbadze a great success. I am confident that he will be one of the most distinguished representatives of our diplomatic corps" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
