Ultramodern, one of the most large-scale projects in terms of technological progress of police was implemented, - joint operations center was set up at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Project of unparalleled scale in the region, - Prime Minister welcome opening the center and participated in the ceremony dedicated to the event.

In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of police officers, whose heroism places crucial part in ensuring serenity of Georgia and sound sleep of the people of Georgia.

"I bow my head before the heroism of each of you," - Prime Minister addressed the police officers.

According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, in the process of creating the center representing a kind of a startup in the area of technological reinforcement of the police, the state has thoroughly examined the experience of foreign countries and attempted to adapt the concept in line with the needs of the Georgia.

"This center will become a centralize hub joining technologies employed in the law-enforcement sector that seeks to manage the joint monitoring system, unite existing databases existing within the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and ensure timely analysis of the relevant data to provide specific information to patrol-officers and investigators, it aims at ensuring joint management of various units of police during the large-scale operations. By opening the center, we launch the rapid reform plan based on high technologies that seeks to change the methodology of law-enforcing actions enabling us to be ready for the challenges," - Prime Minister noted and indicated that using of these technologies has led to decline of the crime rates in many cities across the world.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili hoped that the Center will lead to the decline of crime rates in Georgia by 20-30% and minimize number of road accidents by regulating traffic.

Prime Minister considered that the project will lead to Georgia's inclusion in global system, will become an international ally in combatting against terrorism, drugs and trafficking in humans.

Alongside with opening the center, analytics-based law-enforcement pilot project will also be launched. The Prime Minister believes that the project will be successful.

"I firmly believe that by launching the Joint Operations Center, we begin an irreversible, completely new stage of Georgian police system. By launching the project we will achieve higher safety standard that will reinforce the sense of security among Georgians. I believe that through this project we will have a police of 21st century that will become a regional leader and the level of security of police officer will alleviate as well," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.

Representatives of executive branch of the Government and diplomatic corps attended the opening ceremony and examined newly established Center.
