Prime Minister opened the fruit spirits factory in Agara Print Version

An investment in an amount of 4.5 million USD utilized to establish new enterprise was established under the umbrella of the Preferential Agro Credit Programme, - new enterprise producing the fruit spirits was opened by Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
Factory equipped with modern Italian devices purchases non-standard fruit and manufactures 86-proof spirits.
According to the Prime Minister selling of non-standard fruit was a problem and the new factory will be important in this sense. Furthermore, Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted that the enterprise provides direct and indirect workplaces for many people by purchasing the fruit and fostering small farms in the rural areas.
"It is noteworthy that the enterprise utilized agricultural credit with an interest rate of 1%. This is beneficial for motivating similar ventures. Hence, an initiative of the private entrepreneurs and correct steps taken by the state enable us to reach such results," - Prime Minister noted.
Most of the products will be exported. Laboratory ensuring compliance of the goods with the international standards is operating at the factory. The daily capacity of the venture is around 50 tons of fruit used for production of 3 tons of high-quality spirits. 50 individuals are permanently employed by the company. The venture intends to produce alcohol beverages with various fruit flavors, thus increasing the number of the employees.
