PRIME MINISTER OF GEORGIA MEETS MCC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IN NYC Print Version

H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met with Ms. Dana J. Hyde, Executive Director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in New York today. Discussions were focused on the significance of the Second Compact of MCC, which aims to facilitate the economic growth of Georgia through the advancement of general, tertiary, vocational and higher education quality, along with the attraction of foreign direct investments (FDI) in the following sectors of fast growth: energy, construction, agriculture, information and communication technologies, tourism, transport and logistics.

Prime Minister of Georgia noted that MCC Compact, which aims to develop the human capital in Georgia is fully consistent with the Economic Development Strategy of Georgia and is thus paid a great importance.
Prime Minister of Georgia also stressed the significance of US support towards the internationalization of higher education in Georgia and noted that inter alia implementation of the San Diego State University project initiative evidences this fact.

Prime Minister of Georgia and Executive Director of MCC also spoke about the Four Point Plan of the Government of Georgia (GOG), which covers economic development, spatial planning, education and governance system reforms.
Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the Executive Director of MCC for the consistent support and assistance, thereby wishing that fruitful cooperation with MCC will continue and further advance.
