I believe that GEM FEST 2017 will be truly groundbreaking in terms of establishing Anaklia resort zone - one more serious, noteworthy resort will be created in Georgia, - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at the presentation of GEM FEST 2017.
Prime Minister congratulated participants of the GEM FEST 2016 on successful organization of the event and indicated the GEM FEST 2017 will have a significantly different concept, quality as well as serious line-up and more people will attend the event.
"More than 30 000 people have had an opportunity to enjoy the event. This is the most important achievement of the festival and the attendees of the event will have positive memories about Georgia. Millions were informed about Georgia and this is very important as well as the fact that the residents of Anaklia and the adjacent villages obtained additional income. We have to make these regions even more attractive. I am glad that as a result of the festival more than 30 million was spent and these amount of money created an additional income for the local residents - they managed to improve their living conditions. I am convinced that demand of the new hotels and restaurants will also increase and will introduce some groundbreaking changes in development of Anaklia and the adjacent villages as well as Georgia as a whole and the tourism industry," - Giorgi Kvirikasvhili stated.
The head of the Government also expressed particular gratitude to the founder of the festival Giorgi Sigua and wished the youth to have a good time. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the youth with their positive energy have contributed greatly to the popularization of the GEM FEST.
"I cannot say much, I am glad to see your joy and to observe so many happy positive people people, I am glad to see you joyful and I am as happy as each of you. I congratulate you on this success and I believe that 2017 will mark the launch of a new, even more successful stage in the history of the existence of GEM FEST," - Prime Minister addressed the young people.
Prime Minister also thanked the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Mikheil Giorgadze, Deputy Minister of Economy Ketevan Bochorishvili, Governor in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Levan Shonia and the head of the Strategic Project Management Department of the Administration of Government of Georgia Zurab Alavidze for their contribution in successful implementation of the project.
