According to the 2016 data collected by the international think tank Fraser Institute, in terms of economic freedom, Georgia ranks 5th among the 159 countries, - Prime Minister stated during the Government meeting.
According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgia's leading position in this research is particularly important in terms of attraction of investments to the country.

"According to this ranking, Georgia ranks 5th after the countries, including: Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland and Georgia is 5th. This is a huge success. I would like to compare the figures: in 2015 we ranked 12th, in 2014- 16th, in 2013 - 21st and in 2012 - 53rd. We have attained an important progress that is entailed by the achievements in the fields, such as availability of finances, sound legislative framework and protection of property rights and other areas. This is the great progress in terms of international image of Georgia," - Prime Minister noted.
