Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with the representatives of the Fact Finding mission of the European Parliament Sandra Kalniete (Latvia, EPP) and Andrzej Grzyb (Poland, EPP).
The conversation touched upon the pre-election environment in the country as well as ongoing political processes. Prime Minister outlined the firm will and readiness of the Government of Georgia to ensure holding of open, transparent and democratic elections.

During the meeting it was noted that Government of Georgia has invited large number of international organizations to observe the pre-election environment and voting process. Around 400 observers will monitor the parliamentary elections of October 8.

The conversation also touched upon the considerable progress attained by the Government of Georgia in the process of European integration and the visa regime liberalisation. The parties expressed hope that the citizens of Georgia will be authorized to travel visa-free in the Schengen area.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the European MEPs for supporting Georgia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mikheil Janelidze, Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani, Vice Speaker of the Parliament Manana Kobakhidze also attended the meeting.
