The first factory of the world-famous German company Henkel in Caucasus producing adhesive dry mixture materials was opened in Georgia.

This is an additional indication of the fact that Georgia offers attractive business environment to the investors, - with these words the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili commenced opening of the plant of regional importance. He took part in the opening ceremony.

The head of the Government recalled his recent meeting with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel during which the parties discussed the need of putting maximum efforts on establishing specific environment for the German business in Georgia.

"This will be an additional product - Made in Georgia - that will be a clear example of the German-Georgian economic cooperation. Within the frames of Davos World Economic Forum two years ago we met the representatives of the top management of Henkel and discussed initiation of this project in Georgia, We have very ambitious plans of infrastructural modernization of Georgia. In this area, development of the construction sector will be particularly important and I consider that opening of this plant coincides with the starting point of progressing in this area," - Prime Minister stated.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili also congratulated the representatives of Henkel on opening the factory, the 140th anniversary of the company and 110th anniversary of its leading bran - Ceresit. He also wished the best of luck to the representatives of the company and the employees of the plant.

The Prime Minister thanked persons who contributed to the implementation of the process and extended his particular gratitude to the Director of National Investment Agency Giorgi Pertaia.

"We pay particular attention to the development of the economic relations between Germany and Georgia and this company is a one more clear example of attractive investment environment in Georgia. We are very pleased that the world-renowned brand - Henkel selected Georgia for the purposes of regional production. It important that the plant will provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to many people and most importantly, the factory is equipped with the modern technologies and hence, it will be important in terms of acquiring technical education,' - Prime Minister stated during his conversation with the media.

Director of Construction Materials of Henkel Zdenek Brich thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for the support during the implementation of the project.

"I would like to highlight an attractive investment environment supported by the Government of Georgia. We believe in Georgia and we believe in our common successful future. I believe that you and we will be proud of the fact that the modern technologies will be used to manufacture products in Georgia. Therefore, I would like to congratulate us and congratulate you - the citizens of Georgia, our customers. I would like to express particular gratitude to the Government and the Prime Minister of Georgia for his visit and support," - Zdenek Brich noted.

Henkel factory under the brand of Ceresit manufactures more than 40 types of the cement based products, for the tile roof, waterproofing, floor covering and the external thermos isolation. The products are aimed at satisfying demands of Georgian, Transcaucasian and Central Asian markets.
