Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with the Minister of Human Resources and Social Security of China Yin Weimin. The conversation touched upon the partnership between the states and prospects of deepening the cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the dynamics of cooperation between China and Georgia in various areas and importance of developing trade and economic relations and concluding free trade agreement was outlined.

According to the Prime Minister, China is one of the closest economic partners of Georgia. He also welcomed growing interest of Chinese companies with the Georgian business environment and export of Georgian wine to the Chinese market.

Parties also discussed Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Respective document provides for the cooperation between the countries in the areas of labour and social security through exchanging the experience. It was hoped that the document will have a strategic significance in terms of sharing the experience in the social policy area and will become part of the New Silk Road Project.

Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia David Sergeenko attended the meeting held at the Administration of the Government.
