Whole Georgia is proud of each of you; we have the same amount of champions as Olympians, - Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed Georgian Olympians and once again congratulated on their success at Rio Olympic games.
The head of the Government tanked all of them and indicated that the whole Georgia closely, in unison observed their games.
"Everyone was able to see the amount of efforts you managed to put into this and I would like to extend my wholehearted congratulations on this victory. I would like to congratulate your trainers, family members and friends. On our behalf I would like to emphasize that this fills us with the greatest sense of responsibility to do everything to ensure that our country is as successful in the future as it was this year. Rank of our country was calculated and compared to GDP per person and other parameters. We ranked 7th, then 8th, then even below. I would like to say that we ranked 1st, since we have such a motivated, such a patriotic team and you, my friends, stand as an example of mental and physical stamina. I am convinced that great success and many victories are ahead of you and the whole Georgia," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed Olympians.
Prime Minister also wished success to Paralympians, who will compete this September.
"I am convinced that the whole Georgia will support you with the same determination. I congratulate you once again. On behalf of all of us I thank you," - Prime Minister addressed Georgian Olympians.
Olympic champion LashaTalakhadze thanked the Prime Minister for his support and indicated that Giorgi Kvirikashvili's phone call after the Olympic games was a great inspiration for each of them.
The welcoming ceremony of Olympians who came back from the games was held at LisiLake.
Representatives of Georgian Government and Olympic Committee, family members of athletes, Paralympians, athletes and supporters attended the meeting organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
