Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili visited historical Borjomi Park and inspected the works for liquidation of the results of August 4 disaster on the ground.

According to head of State Security and Crisis Management Council Mindia Janelidze, all relevant agencies worked in 24-hour regime.

Heavy rain, hail and wind of August 4 severely damaged historical Park of Borjomi. Residential houses and commercial areas in Borjomi region were flooded, asphalt pavement and roofs were damaged; strong wind rendered power lines inoperative. Patrol police as well as additional squads of Emergency Management Agency from adjacent municipalities were mobilized. Special equipment was sent from Akhaltsikhe to provided road cleaning works. Already in the morning of August 5 major part of plateau and adjacent territory were cleaned. Recreational zone of the central park was opened in the afternoon. Currently, damaged caused by the natural disaster has been completely eliminated.
