Construction process of tourism infrastructure has launched in Mitarbi. This implies construction and development of year-round hotel in the territory of Bakuriani-Mitarbi. Prime Minister and the members of the Government inspected construction works.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed hope that project will be beneficial for the local population, development of tourism, further reinforcing Bakuriani's image of being an international skiing resort.
According to him, general development plan for Mitarbi settlement will be elaborated to define detailed growth concept for the resort for the nearest 10-15 years. Leading international companies will participate in drafting process and strategy will be finalized by the end of the year. Cableway produced by one of the leading manufacturers - Doppelmayr will be installed in Mitarbi. The construction works will be finalized by 2016.
Infrastructural project is implemented through public-private partnership model. This will be one of the largest investments in view of restoration of mountainous tourism.
