With the financial aid envisaged by the new component of the State Program "Produce in Georgia" - "Host in Georgia", new hotel of modern standards is constructed in Racha - on the territory adjacent to Shaori lake. Today Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili inspected the construction works of the hotel complex. He expressed hope that construction of the hotel will foster growing inflow of tourists, provision of comfortable environment that will ultimately entail development of tourism industry and economic progress in the region. Businessman Mamuka Jmukhadze hosted Prime Minister. According to him, company "Geotechinvest" has undertaken the construction process and the hotel "Shaori" will become operative in summer 2017.
"Component existing within the frames of "Produce in Georgia" is aimed at development of the local hotel networks and this component - "Host in Georgia" enabled construction of large hotel near Shaori Lake. Generally speaking, Shaori has large potential and we plan to pay particular attention to development of this touristic zone. Partnership Fund may also co-finance number of hotels. This particular hotel is the first-mover in sense of developing of this touristic zone. Investment of around million GEL is planned. This is a 20-suite, very beautifully constructed hotel of modern standards. This specific businessman plans to construct another hotel in this area. Of course, state will pay particular attention. I believe that general planning shall be undertaken to avoid spontaneous construction - relevant state support will be much needed to ensure that beautiful region of Racha fully utilizes the potential that is has. Profit of the local entrepreneurs running family-type hotels shall increase. This is crucial, since Racha experiences major population decline and unless we put in place some purposeful projects, it will be difficult to convince local residents to stay there. We will definitely do this," - Prime Minister noted.
Starting from 2016 new component was supplemented to the State Program "Produce in Georgia". It enables entrepreneurs to develop hospitality business in regions, create working places, attract more guests and foster the regional development. New component "Host in Georgia" makes funding and relevant consultation available to the regional entrepreneurs, while simultaneously implementing experience of international brands by co-funding the payments envisaged by so called franchising agreements.
