Statement of the Prime Minister Print Version

Giorgi Kvirikashvili - it occurs to me that the campaign of accusations and responses continues.
Politicians who led our country to the edge of disappearing make wrongful accusations. Today they are accusing us of undertaking actions contradictory to the state interests, - Prime Minister stated in his conversation with the press while commenting Tristan Tsitelashvili's statements.
Head of the Government noted that if there are enough materials to start an investigation, it will take place. Prime Minister also has a discussion with the Chief Prosecutor, who indicated that Ministry of Defense has not addressed his office regarding this issue.
"I was interested in this issue. We are obliged to provide answers to the society - I would like to emphasize that responses shall be provided to society, not the persons - politicians that posed major threat to our country by their immature actions. Of course, I do not imply military personnel, I mean politicians. If there are enough materials to start an investigation, it will take place and we will provide answers to the society. However, it seems to me that campaign when accusations are being poured and relevant responses are necessary," - Prime Minister noted.
