We are deeply concerned and saddened by the recent developments in Yerevan and welcome peaceful regulation of the situation, - Prime Minister of Georgia stated during his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian.
Head of the Government of Georgia extended his condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia over the casualties and indicated that Government of Georgia welcomes steps taken for the purpose of complete de-escalation of the situation.

The conversation touched upon need of deepening constructive as well as trade and economic relations between the neighboring countries. Increasing inflow of Armenian tourists to Georgia was emphasized and interest to reinforcing the cooperation in transportation industry was expressed.
Particular attention was paid to the continuation of close cooperation in the energy sector. Parties welcome construction of the new high-voltage power line.

Prime Minister of Georgia and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia commended the cooperation between the countries in the field of culture and expressed hope that relevant questions in this area will be soon addressed within the frames of the interagency format.
