140 million USD investment and new luxury-class hotel in Tbilisi - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan participated in the opening ceremony of Biltmore Tbilisi.
Head of the Government of Georgia thanked Sheikh for warm friendship and indicated that opening of a hotel of such class is important for Tbilisi as well as whole Georgia.
"With the implementation of each of such project, the number of highest-class hotels that meet modern international standards increases, thus creating relevant infrastructure, pleasant ambience and most importantly - new working places for our people. Each of such project supports tourism development and fosters interest to our country. This is the largest investment of Dhabi Group, however, it is not the first one in Georgia. It is the largest and most important investment for our country that reasserts that we have created maximally comfortable ambience for investing in our country and doing business here. As a result of this policy that is an outcome of reforms and consecutive steps undertaken by us, Georgia is a regional leader in view of attractiveness of the investment environment," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted.
Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan thanked the Prime Minister and the whole Government of Georgia for creating business-friendly environment in Georgia.
"My dearest friend, honorable Prime Minister, we appreciate the conviction, determination and hope with which a wonderful country - Georgia under your wise leadership is working to build a prosperous future. Our gathering this evening is a celebration of admirable political and economic progress that this great country is making. It is a celebration of all of the successful efforts of Georgia's sons and daughters to enhance overall development of their country. This is a great evening for travelers on the new Silk Road and it is a wonderful moment for their Georgian host, since Tbilisi is on the crossroads of the new Silk Road. Travelers and hosts alike will enter this gorgeous new Biltmore hotel located on the Rustaveli Avenue. The route is perfect - it will be connecting the greatest name in the culture and history of Georgia with newest symbol of innovative progress and economic and social life of 21st century," - Sheikh noted.
According to him, new hotel is a clear indication of the friendship that exists between Georgian people and Dhabi Group as well as between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. He indicated that two countries are united by many common interests and values.
Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan outlined first hotel of Biltmore class is located in Los Angeles and is known to everyone, especially the movie goers - since it was a setting of more than 100 productions. Sheikh is convinced that while selecting the filming location, all modern producers will opt for Biltmore Tbilisi.
"Who could resist Georgia and Biltmore? We from the United Arab Emirates cannot resist the admirable spirit that distinguishes this country. That spirit is obvious today as you mark the 25th year of Georgia's independence it is this spirit that made Tbilisi a natural place for this remarkable hotel. Both Georgia and its capital city are safe and welcoming place to visit, to do business, to learn about the world," - Sheikh stated.
According to him, Georgia has earned a reputation of a desirable destination for the travelers, since guests of the country can enjoy the hospitality while staying in Georgia.
"Dear Prime Minister, under your wise leadership, Georgia has established itself as a tolerant, open and hospitable nation, prepared to deal with the realities of the modern age. Ancient and mobile culture of Georgia will host to more and more global visitors. We in the United Arab Emirates have dealt with the same phenomenon. Under the wise leadership of his highness Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan we have found that our traditional Arab culture is far from being threatened and in fact strengthened by mixing with other cultures. We have the opportunity to show to the rest of the world the best of our culture as well. Given the increasingly important place of Georgia in travel and tourism it is particularly fitting that Biltmore Tbilisi has established itself as a first-rate hotel of its kind - one that will be the embodiment of the highest international standards of excellence. On behalf of the attendees of the opening ceremony he thanked those who contributed to the implementation of the project and noted that they shall be proud of this achievement.

After the official ceremony, Head of the Government and Sheikh of United Arab Emirates visited the hotel and branch of Terabank located in the building. Dhabi Group also invested in the respective bank. Grandiose show with participation of Georgian and foreign performers was organized. 3D performance was projected on the façade of the hotel, event was closed by magnificent fireworks.
