Prime Minister met the Chair of the Constitutional Court Print Version

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili conducted a meeting with the Chair of the Constitutional Court Giorgi Papuashvili.

Head of the Government listened to the Chair of the Constitutional Court and once again urged him to cooperate with the Chief Prosecutor's Office. Giorgi Kvirikashvili emphasized that investigation of the issue addressed by the Chair of the Constitutional Court is the authority of the Chair of the Constitutional Court; whereas Prosecutor's Office is an independent investigative body that is not subjected to the executive branch of the Government.

Head of the Government considers that undermining the authority of the state institutions in inacceptable and all individuals, notwithstanding their position, shall respect these bodies.

During his meeting with the Prime Minister Chair of the Constitutional Court emphasized that he will meet the Chief Prosecutor in the near future.
