Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili excludes involvement of political motive in the search of the apartment of the President's family member.

Head of the Government indicated in his conversation with the press that he discussed this issue with the President several days ago and tasked Minister of Interior to examine the case. "I exclude the chance of involvement of blackmail and political motives in this case. If there was a violation of procedural norms, the reaction will be very strict. However, I would like to reassert that I exclude involvement of political motive in this case. I consider that prior to making political statements, all of us, including the President and the Chair of the Constitutional Court shall submit relevant information to the law enforcers and all of us are equal before the law," - Prime Minister stated.

To the question on accepting the President's invitation to meet, Prime Minister responded that he enjoys constructive and business relations with the President and the Speaker of the Parliament, hence, he is ready for a meeting.

Prime Minister also responded to the question concerning n investigation process into the Kortskheli incident. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the charges have been brought and the case is in the court, hence, any additional actions on his part will be unacceptable. Meanwhile, he has made relevant political statements on numbers of occasions.
